IntroductionTangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle where a square is split up into 5 triangles, a parellogram and a square and these are recombined to make recognisable figures. For a history click here
InstructionsThe sheet I use has 13 figures on it. What I usually do is to challenge the whole class to get an average of 4 each (e.g. with 15 in the class that would be a total of 60) and then give them a sweet if they manage their target. This keeps them focused and also encourages them to share their solutions and explain them to another of their class mates. Solutions |
