Equipment available: During the first two years of the Count On campaign we administered the MathFest equipment. Now the campaign is entering a web-based only phase and we have inherited this material. If you would like to borrow it from us, or consider buying some or all of it please contact Joe to discuss rates, or to ask what equipment we have available.

Despite being a small organisation we work in partnership with many other groups, including the BBC. As part of the BBC's support for IT learning in the community BBC Look North is starting to carry details about where the various computer buses in the region will be found on the weather map. To announce this change and to tie in with the picture opportunity that the support for the York Viking Festival offered, Look North came and filmed us, dressed as vikings working on the bus. MatheMagic is a small organisation with big ideas. We believe that everyone can do maths, indeed everyone does do maths in their everyday life, they just don't think of it as maths!

In fact one of the most common things that we hear is 'I can't do Maths, but I can do this, so this can't be Maths' but actually we tell everyone that they can do Maths, they can do this, and it really is Maths.

We have just become involved in an innovative new project for an interactive science centre in York. Details are still sketchy, but we ran a pilot project in the Guildhall, and we are now looking for funding to run a ScienceBus project to enable us to provide interactive science out in the community.
