We have just completed an online learning styles quiz, which may help
you learn more about your learning style and strengths and weakness with learning. It is
designed to be accessible to as many learners as possible, but does require Flash Player 6 to
use. The Macromedia homepage carries links to allow you to download
the correct version of the Player for your computer from the 'Download Flash Player' shortcut.
The quiz starts here and should typically take 10 minutes to complete.
We have recently commissioned tests to cover the width of the Basic Skills Core Numeracy Curriculum. These tests will not be diagnostic, but will cover almost areas of the curriculum, and will eventually carry links to other testing sites and possible courses to help you with finding a course if you feel you need or would like more help.
If you would like to know more about courses in your area, we suggest you use the Learn Direct website which has an index that you can search online.
The BBC also offer a set of resources to help develop basic skills in both literacy and numeracy. This link will take you to their home page for all their skillswise materials whilst will take you straight to their numeracy index
